“I Saw an Outdoor Water Leak in My Neighborhood.
What Should I Do?”
Every year water pipe leaks in the Coves WSC district wastes tens of thousands of gallons of potable water. Our water operator monitors water usage 24/7 for the entire system to detect and report abnormal water usage.
Resident’s Property or Private Property Water Leaks:
If a water leak occurs between the water meter and the residence or commercial property, the owner is responsible to stop the leak by turning off the main water valve and repairing the leak. Typically this is done by calling a plumber or other repair resources.
Common Area and Road Easement Water Leak:
If a water leak occurs in a main water line that serves the area up to the water meter of the residence or commercial property, it is the responsibility of the Corporation to repair the leak. If you see a leak along the road or a common area, please call at (512) 402-1990 immediately.

If you think there is a leak is on a resident’s property or a commercial property, you could notify the owner. The Coves WSC Board of Directors are not responsible to contact residents and commercial property that may have a water leak.
If you think there is a main water line leak along the road or common areas, call the Corporation’s office at (512) 402-1990, not the Coves WSC Board of Directors. Our water operator will manage and repair water leaks.
